Caroline Leaf was born on the 12th August 1946. In her career as a filmmaker she had produced numerous short animated films. Caroline's technique of animation consists of using sand and oil paints shot under the camera, once one frame is taken, the image is destroyed to create the next frame. This in return creates a 'fresh, lively, unique and personal animation'. For the task, we had create a abstract based on a piece of writing. In my group we did the story 'Little Red Riding Hood' and used salt on glass panels and a light box to animate with. Caroline Leaf used sand in her films but since we did not have any sand to utilize salt was the next best thing. Finished piece available at: https://vimeo.com/244928138 This was a nightmare to produce because other students need to use the equipment, salt went everywhere and the camera would not connect to the computer but despite the technical problems, the end result turned out well, although this is something I would not want to do again. Great post. I was checking continuously this blog and I am impressed! 3D animation involves creating moving images within a three-dimensional digital environment. Artists use specialized software to model characters, objects, and environments, then animate them by defining movement, timing, and expressions. These animations are used in various industries such as film, gaming, advertising, and education to tell stories, convey information, and entertain audiences with lifelike and immersive visuals.
